Happy 8th Birthday, Jumptap!

Today marks Jumptap’s eighth year – and what a year it’s been!

Over the past twelve months, we welcomed many new Jumptappers to the ranks, including executives COO Frank Weishaupt, CTO Bob Hammond, General Counsel Neal Winneg, and SVP of Brand Sales Adam Chandler.

We expanded our third-party data partner program by adding online and mobile enterprise data company bluekai and political data providers Catalist and i360. We partnered with hyper-local leader PlaceIQ to help advertisers go beyond geo-targeting with hyper-local capabilities, and teamed up with The Weather Channel to offer political advertisers a unique spot on one of the top-read mobile sites.

In an effort to continue our commitment to privacy and give users notice and choice, Jumptap partnered with leading privacy advocate and advisor Evidon to implement the Ad Choices icon for mobile in all behaviorally targeted campaigns.

We took the next step in mobile targeting to decipher between true consumer intent and fantasy shopping, and addressed ‘device schizophrenia’ through a partnership with WPP-owned 24/7 Media to offer innovative cross-screen capabilities.

In the creative department, we launched new and unique campaigns, including a first-of-its kind mobile/social brand experience with Rovio and Intel.

Jumptap closed out 2012 with the issuance of its 40th patent, having more than doubled the number of patents we hold in one year.

Thank you to all of our employees, clients, partners, board members and investors for a wonderful year. Here’s to another great one!
