The Jumptap Mobile Search Index (MSI) uses crawling technology to discover and acquire content on the mobile web. This content is used to create a searchable collection of mobile-friendly documents for consumption on a mobile device. The Jumptap MSI is used by leading carriers to provide a relevant off-portal search experience.

Jumpbot, the Jumptap crawler, obeys existing robots.txt standards. The use of this standard will allow a site owner to include or exclude their site, or portions of their site, in the Jumpbot crawl.

Example:Excluding Jumpbot from a portion of a site

Example: Exclude all crawlers except for Jumpbot from a site
