The big guys upstairs focused on everything from SMS to the iPhone during a panel at the Mobile Ad Summit.

Moderated by Charles Johnson, general manager at Microsoft Mobile Advertising, New York, the session explored the five key factors of success for mobile advertising agencies. Mobile response rates blow away online: Mobil...

A Bank of America executive said that mobile ad campaigns have in some cases doubled the response rates achieved by online campaigns during a panel at Mobile Ad Summit.

Also during the panel, a film studio executive from Lionsgate said that mobile is integral to the marketing mix for any new movie and Sprint’s Boost Mobile discussed its dual role as a publisher and advertiser. Bank of America has a robust mobile banking platform and was an early adopter of mobile advertising used to promote its mobile banking services

Smartphones driving growth of mobile advertis...

A trio of CEOs representing heavy-hitting ad agencies agreed that increased smartphone adoption is making mobile a more desirable platform for brand advertisers.

These high-powered advertising executives weighed in on the state of the mobile industry during a panel at the Mobile Ad Summit during advertising week in New York. While the panelists admitted that the recession has taken its toll on marketing spend, they were bullish about the prospects for mobile going forward.

Think this is the year of mobile? As mobile marketing integration evolves, every year will be the year of mobile, according to MDC Partners.

While 2009 has been a huge year for the mobile platform, it is still not as fully embraced as the PC is. During a keynote address at the Mobile Ad Summit at New York’s Times Center, stress was placed on full marketing integration to truly kick mobile into high gear.

AT&T Clears Way for Mobile Search Ads on...

Speaking at the Mobile Ad Summit yesterday in New York, Matt Crowley, CMO, AT&T Interactive, briefly mentioned the new app during a larger discussion on how to target mobile consumers. Later that day, Crowley said the app, dubbed “YPmobile,” establishes dedicated top-of-page sponsored search inventory where it will deliver relevant promos for AT&T Interactive’s pay-per-call advertising clients, as well as its Yellowpages.com advertisers who pay to be featured.

A panel featuring executives from AdMob, Jumptap, Quattro Wireless and Mojiva spoke about the differences between their networks. The group also talked about mobile advertising best practices.

With this week’s Mobile Ad Summit in New York finished, Mobile Marketer has posted an event wrap up.  As the lead sponsor, Jumptap wanted to create an event that had all the right people in the room, not just ecosystems vendors preaching to the choir.   In the end, Jumptap CMO Paran Johar was pleased with the turnout, that consisted of a mix of marketing, sales, advertising, publishers, brands, the media and more.  Congratulations to the Jumptap team for putting on a successful event.  The mobile day at Ad Week, was quite possibly the best the industry has ever seen–we can’t wait for next year!
